Design & construction

Do you know that kinda day?
When you really don’t feel like going to school or anywhere else and the last thing you want is to get up out of  bed. For me it’s usually every single day.

That day I got lucky and my grandfather agreed to take me to his work place. My family works in real estate and architecture. You probably think it’s “the most boring thing ever” but it’s actually very beautiful and interesting.

This day was piping hot so I decided to wear a matching striped set (a crop top with a skirt) black and white sunglasses and my nikes.

I know I wrote in my last post that the next posts would be on fall fashion, but this post was pretty spontaneous and the photos went great, so I decided to write about them. More posts about fall fashion will be on the blog soon.

Coco Made Me Poor

As you can see, the weather is getting a little bit down. I hope it doesn’t make you sad because I can’t wait for the autumn.

Although Israel doesn’t get very cold in the autumn, or at all, the fashionistas here don’t give up and wear warm coats and winter clothes—pleads guilty!

Despite the fact that I’m ready for the autumn/winter, I want to help you guys if you don’t feel ready and need to take this process slowly.
This is going to be part 1 of a couple of posts about transition to the colder weather.

So as I said earlier, I’m taking it slowly. I wore a tank top with the caption “Coco Made Me Poor.” OK, not yet, but I’m sure she will make me in the future.
I added a white mesh pencil skirt and a light pink moto jacket with my white braided heels.

You can totally wear this outfit everywhere: to a party or just for lunch with the girls. But just so you know, it’s not the comfiest outfit ever.

Have a pleasant weekend,
Lihi

Sweet Ending

Yesterday I went with my friends, who also have fashion blogs  (Lihi’s blog+Rony’s blog) to Tel-Aviv.
I met these two lovely bloggers in “Shenkar” college ( known as the best designing college in Israel) , where I went to summer camp.

This post is about an outfit for the jewish new year’s eve dinner ( ROSH HASHANA), if you don’t celebrate this holiday you can wear it for  a formal event or just for a formal dinner. I’m so happy this year is over since it had been really hard for me, and I can’t wait for a fresh new start!

I know I usually  go for more “fun” and trendy looks, and don’t go for this kind of formal outfit, but I wanted to show you my other side, the side that “comes to life” only during the holidays.

I chose to wear  a white leather skirt with  a basic collar blouse and kimono with beautiful flowers detailing on it, plus my white cream flats.

Have a nice new year (my jewish readers of-course) and I wish all of you a great fresh start
and happy new year!,
Lihi

NYFW/SS15

by: Ori Levy

Hi awesome readers,
If you didn’t know until now, my favorite city is New York. I like everything about it: The crowded streets, the fresh aired mornings in Central park, the skyscrapers, the vintage stores and of-course the street style….

This week was “New York Fashion-Week Spring-Summer 2015”.

My father went to NYC to see the US OPEN, and because school year already started, he didn’t let me go with him. 😦
Although, I wasn’t actually there, I felt the spirit and  excitement.
If you like me, and you wish you were there, keep reading….

I’m going to write about my favorite and most interesting runways and my favorite looks from the shows.

Oscar de la Renta-
The 82 year-old designer showed a classic, fresh, elegant but still very chic collection.
From pastel colors to white and black, flower detailing, lace, plaid and a lot of fringe.

Rag and bone-
The company showed us how to take basic colors like black, white, grey, cream and make the clothes simple but yet very chic and “Offhand” kinda looks.

Jeremy Scott-
The creative director of moschino showed  a crazy collection, as always. A lot of colorful prints, flowers, short dresses, crop tops, fur and powerful slogans.

Alexander Wang-
The creative Director of Balenciaga, my favorite designer (He is a genius in my opinion !!),  This didn’t surprise us at all because as usual he  had a great show and gorgeous items.  A sporty vibe with lots of neon dresses, crop tops and skirts, but you could still see his usual colors that include black and white and grey.

Victoria beckham-
Once a singer, now successful fashion designer. In Victoria’s show you could find suits, long skirts and coats.  The collection came in classic colors like camel, black, wine, white and stripes and very interesting cherry pink prints.

Michael Kors-
55 year-old designer show was classic but still very chic as usual. Sporty wear inspiring with flowers, white, camel, black, sunshine yellow and navy blue. midi skirt, crop top, mini dresses, jackets and separates.

Calvin Klein-
The veteran designer showed  us a lovely collection. Black, red and navy blue leather coats and dresses, white and metallic tops.

Isabella rose Taylor-
13 year-old fashion designer. I met her  a few weeks ago when I was in New York for fashion camp and she was so nice and kind.  She invited me to her show but as I wrote perviously on this post, I couldn’t come ,so my father went to the show instead of me.
The talented designer show included fresh, young, casual style.  Basic black, white and nude dresses, see-through tops, graphic prints and you could see on many items  a pattern of embroidered storm clouds.

here is me and the lovely Isabella:

To summarize this week,
The flowers won’t go anywhere, the sporty and military vibes are going to stay. Suits, graphic prints and big coats, black and white total looks will last for a while.
From New York, fashion week moves to London.

Thank you so much for reading, I know it’s not the kind of post you are use to reading in my blog,  I promise you i’ll do more look-books.
Here’s an inspirational Interview with Anna Wintour, the legendary editor in chief of Vogue US.

H&M STUDIO A/W 2014

Hi my lovely readers,
This is my third post.
I’m going to post every weekend, so get used to a new post every week and stay tuned on my Instagram.

Two days ago, I went to see the H&M STUDIO Autumn/Winter 2014 collection that came straight from the runway show in Paris. It was a lovely event hosted by GOstyle magazine.

The collection included furry coats, matching suits, velvet overalls, caramel brown leather, and a lot of black and beautiful prints. This collection makes me so excited for winter!

I purchased black satin overalls and a white dress. I can’t wait to wear and write about them!

There were a lot of stuff that I couldn’t buy because I’m too tiny and short, like Solange’s (a.k.a. Beyoncé’s sister) suit, but that’s okay (NO, IT’S NOT OMG).

Parts of my outfit were from Very Cherry Fashion (a sale that Israeli bloggers organized with items from their own closets). So cool, right?
See you soon,
Lihi

First day of school

We all know that school is starting in two days (UGH!!!), or for some of you, it’s already started.
After a long break, we return to the books, homework, tests, and sitting in class.

The first day of school is always exciting.
A day before you go to back to school, you should shop and buy school supplies and make the outfit for the next day.
If you’re like me, you would make the outfit a month before, but that’s just me (HAHAHA).

For me, making the outfit beforehand is relaxing and makes the first day more enjoyable and less stressful.
Usually, I go for something comfortable but cute.

So here is an option that goes for me for the first day, and I’ll probably wear this.

This outfit combines trendy pieces that match most of the school uniforms.
The look consists of basic and simple items: denim overalls, black top and chunky shoes, and a cool drawstring backpack.

If you have the courage to try the temporary tattoo trend, go try Koketit (a.k.a. Shira Barzilay): Not Forever Tattoos. The tattoos look like they were drawn, and they come in cool shapes. You can buy the tattoos here.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I wish all my readers an easy school year and all the success. x

CASTRO autumn-winter 2014/15 fashion runway

First post.

I finally did it. After thinking for a while about opening a blog, I have gathered my courage and started writing. I’m so excited to begin this new chapter in my life.

This week, I was lucky to watch the Castro autumn/winter 2014/15 runway fashion show. The atmosphere was stunning.

Everyone noticed the absence of Gal Gadot, the company’s presenter, who is filming her movie, Wonder Woman, in Hollywood.

On the runway, we could see ethnic-style collections inspired by the Middle East. Women’s designs focused on galabias, colorful items in mustard, burgundy, and olive colors and beautiful prints.

Here are my top 5 looks on the runway:

I chose to wear olive green overalls, a big black hat, black ankle boots, and a “stressed but well-dressed” (a quote that describes me very well!) clutch.

The event was so fun and professional. I saw and met a lot of beautiful and nice people from the Israeli fashion industry . . .

And my look for the runway event:

Love you all so much. See you in my next post. xx
