15/51

Do you know what day is the second of August? YEP, it’s my B-day.
This Sunday I celebrated 15 summers. My 15th year had a lot of ups and downs but now I’m in a really good place. I have the best support from my family and I’m purely  HAPPY.
I clearly asked for 16 white roses, 16 colorful macarons and silver balloons. I literally waited forever to shoot this post and unfortunately the balloons didn’t want to stay in place or remain pretty at all. So this went kinda unsuccessfully… but hey, at least you can tell I’m not fifty one.

Artistic Tee

If you didn’t know already, art is my thing. I really enjoy visiting museums and exploring new modern art pieces.
I grew up in a family that appreciates good art and admires great artists, so I guess it runs in my blood. Personally I prefer colorful and eye catching paintings over photographs or video art.

Castro, a well known fashion brand in Israel, recently came up with this concept to combine two of my favorite things- Fashion and Art. They asked a few popular Israeli artists such as Menashe Kadishman (who passed away a month ago) to draw on T-shirts instead of canvas. It’s actually pretty amazing that we can allow ourselves to purchase art so inexpensively. #loveit #adoreit

You can find the “T-Art” collection in Castro.com and in every local Castro store near you.

That 70’s show- Renuar A/W16 Runway

My morning was pretty usual apart from the fact that I was dispatched through a time tunnel back to the wonderful 70’s at Renuar’s A/W16 runway show.

So curl up your hair or the lucky ones among us- Sprinkle your natural curls, wear your dancing shoes because this winter is all about the 70’s, again.

The Runway opened by the three presenters of the well-known brand with loud applause; Gefen Barkai ,Nibr Madar and the new guy, Yehuda Levi, alongside other male and female models rocking about big curls and some cool afros.

The collection was divided into four social trends/ different kind of personalities- Strong soldiers, happy hippies, young teenagers and glamorous individuals.

Stand Still-Vietnam War greatly influenced the style of the seventies, characterized by a tailored appearance, pockets in mustard, and green olive to a camel safari style.

Love is in the air-The culmination of the liberated spirit of love reflected during the iconic Woodstock Festival influenced a whole generation who wore warm tones like red Brick, Mocha. Fringes, maxi dresses and prints express the sense of freedom.

Denim on denim- The denim jeans reinvented itself with whole new cuts and different lengths, among them high waisted and of course flared pairs.

Dancing Queens- Finally we arrived to the late seventies and people feel the need to restore the glamour of fashion. The designers created trendy looks with meticulous quality wool and rich fabrics in shades of black and gold.

Flowy Spirit

You probably were confused for a second- Yes you guessed right, it’s not me in the photos.
It’s actually one of my best friends these days, her name is Jeni (Jenika, if you insist).

You can tell that Jeni is a very good looking girl and has this amazing exotic natural look we all wish for. She asked for a makeover, and that’s what she got.
She told me the other day that she will never wear a flowy pants, especially ones with a flamboyant print.

This summer it’s all about the cullote style pants so I thought it’s a great opportunity to get Jeni to wear a pair.
I added a simple black cap and sneakers to complete this sporty creation of mine.

Go for a makeup free look, like Jenika did and don’t be afraid to dress differently and let your style flow.

The Half Bun

The half top knot hairstyle that all the top super models and young actresses are rocking with lately is for sure the new it-girl thing. It’s so easy to pull off.

it’s actually really ideal for hot summer days because it keeps a huge part of your hair out of your face and helps prevent the gross breakouts created from our sweat.

Keep it casual with a tank top, sandals and jeans and add a nice jacket for the cool evenings, This fringe jacket I got in paris a few months ago is definitely my favorite clothing item I own (and the most precious of them all).

The Pinkish Villa

A week ago,  on an extremely hot day I attended the pinkest villa you can imagine, which in hebrew they call “Villa-Veet” and I had the best experience ever.

It’s the seventh year the hair removal company Veet has organized this heavenly event for teenage girls.
This year Lihi (how ironically) , an israeli actress came and hanged out with us.

We were given lectures about fashion DIY, Hairstyling and how to use Veet’s products, and surprisely it’s kinda easy.
We also painted our nails (I got an awesome bunny) and drank lots of purple slushies.
And we can not forget the main activity -the pool party.

thanks Veet Israel for inviting me!

The Culotte

I used to be obsessed with skinny jeans, but recently I read this article in  the newspaper about an Australian girl who almost died because she was sitting all day wearing very tight skinny jeans.
To be honest, I always felt uncomfortable wearing them since they highlight all my body imperfections but I just went along with the flow.

Why do we have to punish ourselves? and don’t get me wrong, I’m all for- “you have to suffer to be beautiful” when I’m arguing with my mother about my (super) uncomfortable pair of shoes.
My answer is that when we have all of these awesome sections of denim jeans- such as the cool wide leg pants I’m wearing here in a mid cut raw hem- We don’t really need the Skinnies.

I wore them the other night for Diesel’s Israeli celebration event with a white buttoned blouse and a stunning black bow tie and it was perfect.
In contrast to this you can see here how these mid cut jeans can work equally well on a sunny day with a suede fringe vest and white rough sandals.
If I hopefully work it, you can too!

Feminist Gladiator

It’s not unusual for trends to reappear and make a comeback. however, this  trend that I’m about to introduce to you is definitely out of the ordinary.
2000 years have past since the Roman soldiers and Gladiators walked around the Roman Empire wearing over the knee sandals.

During the last Fashion week one could notice lots of big fashion houses such as Valentino and Chloe Showing those sandals . You can find them laced up entwined, on heels and a much shorter version. They can be worn during the day with a white cold shoulder tunic (as I did).
Happy Shavuot!

70’s Flare

This spring is all about the 70’s;
Wear your Flared silhouette jeans (a MUST HAVE staple in a It-girl’s wardrobe) with cool mules that show your new pedicure.
Of-course I went “ALL DENIM EVERYTHING” and tied my bandana on my striped Tee.
I’m such a “Manreppeller”.
And can we talk about the purse for a sec??- It’s so magical and Time-less and Iconic…and…and not mine.

Dots & Flower milkshake

Mixing patterns for the first time is definitely difficult, but after I personally cleared my mind from all of those worries I realized it’s actually really COOL and girly and I promise it’s not only for those advanced fashionistas.
It’s a big step for sure and you won’t regret for trying this out!

You can start in an easy way with mixing black and white stripes with plaids and then continue with flowers mixing.
My tip for this time of the year is to combine two patterns with at least one light common color to make it look girly but still chic!
